Opening ceremony in Croatia

-->Lithuania, Japan,Indonesia, Lithuania again, Malaysia, Malaysia again, Lithuania again, Combodia, UK, Lithuania, Spain

Yesterday we had an opening ceremony in Pula, Croatia. It was so much fun to see everybody dressed up in their national clothes. I got the opportunity to carry Lithuanian flag in the flag ceremony and it was really nice. In one of the main speeches our school's ex-principle talked a lot about Lithuania and Irena Veisaitė. Apparently she's connected to UWC movement but I didn't know. Anyways, it made me feel so proud of Lithuania and UWC, I guess that's why these kind of ceremonies are made:) Pula is a nice place, it was raining badly but I still enjoyed my time there. And yay, got a first stamp in my passport!!! Another weird thing is that many words in Croatian mean the same as in Lithuanian. Only in Croatia I realised that we have 83 countries in college, that's what I call international. I'm sorry for not artistic pictures, but really wanted to share those. More can be found HERE.

Eduarda

More or less a pic spam :) my very first kind of normal shot here in Italy with lovely model Eduarda from Brasil and Ben (HK) who kindly helped me out with the reflector. I'm pretty much pleased with the result as I really missed doing photography but yeah, Eduarda is a great model and I think I can make something really outstanding with her. Oh, and today I worked in the studio for the first time, my model was Allisha, super cool Malaysian girl (Hilton-wannabe, lol), Justin (HK) joined a bit later and it was nice till the moment when I accidentally deleted all the pictures. Whoops. We did some shots afterwards and I hope it's gonna turn out nice. Anyway, it's a nice experience. But a bit stressful. Um, I guess I prefer working outside, studio work is a bit boring.
Other than formating my card with the pics I'm fine, booked my flights to Barcelona and Rome. It's really cold here but at least not raining. On Friday we're gonna have an Opening ceremony in Croatia and I'm gonna carry Lithuanian flag. Ha! VIP :P Okay, since it's midnight and I've been working on my Environmetal Systems Lab report, I better go to bed before I ruin my blog with useless writings. Ciao amici!

Thank you!

Annual post to thank everybody for birthday wishes. This year my b-day was different, because I spent it here, in Italy, far from home. Also you don't really turn 18 (=adult) that often :) My b-day started on Thursday with some flowers and a wonderful cake from my amazing second years Ieva and Kamilė, then continued with happy b-day song at 6.20 in the morning (me being with "what a hell?" facial expression at first), a huge painting that I found on the wall in front of my door when I got up, then all the hugs, songs, smiles, presents and beautiful b-day wishes throughout the whole day, lovely Cambodian dinner and super delicious cakes in the evening (+songs, movie, laughter and etc.). That's just a short summary and I can't really express how grateful I am for all of this plus all the people who wrote me messages or called. Thank you♥

Mountains and life recently

Hello dear friends. I'm still alive *waves*, sharing a bit of my recent life. So basically so many things happen that it's just too hard to catch up with my own memories. I went to Florence 5 days ago, it seems like ages have passed (haven't had time to look over the pics, so Florence next time). Tomorrow going to Paduva, yeepy (though I'm so tired, I'd rather stay at home, but it's just an opportunity to see something new,so I don't wanna miss it). Ok, so here are pictures from our climbing trip to Dolomites (Via Ferrata). It was awesome though really hard for me, because I had this altitude sickness and was literally dieing whenever we had to hike up for a longer time. Climbing itself was simply amazing, the view and everything... pardon me for not taking my camera to the most important trip - anyways, I wouldn't have had time to take pictures in 2480 metres height. I've uploaded some more pictures in facebook, check out if you want HERE.
What else was happening in my life...we had this really nice event organized by Asians for Mid-Autumn fest. Got to try some weird dishes:) Pictures are mostly of the people, but if you're still interested go HERE.
Um... I'm doing pretty fine. School is a bit hard, since we have creative activities (I chose photography), physical activities (climbing, as you already understood), social service (I'm visiting a woman who has Down syndrome. She speaks only Italian, pretty tough), college service (also working with pictures) and that takes so much time. If you consider socialising, eating and other not important stuff, such as sleeping, not that much time left for homework :) nah, for real it's not THAT bad, I still manage to organize my time and get enough sleep. But in general people fall asleep in lessons really massively. Their fault (usually:)
People. I think I already have a few people I can call friends of mine and that is very nice. Maybe someday I'm gonna introduce some of them here - there are many super interesting people.
The only thing I'm not that happy about is that yet I didn't have time to do any art works. Almost each weekend I'm travelling somewhere and I don't have time during the working days. Anyway, I can do a bit of photography and will try to start making something nice soon. Btw, who the hell would be complaining about travelling "too much"??? Travelling is love.
Anything new from you?
