Happy New Year

2009

well, another year has passed. This post is a summary of things that happened to me, mostly stuff connected to art. Don't know if that's interesting to you guys, but I really wanted to write everything down. Hope you enjoy;) Btw, this post is 200th.

January
-had an accident with my brother and broke one finger that is still not completely fine (and to relieve my pain I watched a movie that everybody has been recommending me for ages. That was "Twilight". I still regret...)
-got my postcard "eat yourself" printed by BADDOG (though haven't seen it anyway)
February
-made a huge photo project/calendar at school
-first time had nightmares only because got into a book too much. Thanks, Dostojevskij!
-was very sick (that's actually the only time I consider myself being really sick this year)
March
-after months of preparing participated in Kaziukas' fair (awesome,awesome,awesome.Thanks everybody, who came! And Noru, for the cacao when I was freezing to death)
-participated in contest held by the Japanese Embassy in Lithuania, had an interview in Japanese and spoke this amazing language for the first time in my life
-after tons of problems interviewed and selected an amazing girl for CRS'09 season
April
-won a scholarship in UWCAd (!!!)
-bought some stuff for my camera and did a shoot with Eglė
-deidei was born
May
-did around 5 shoots for my hairdresser, first time shooting people with professional hair and make-up (Monika, Simona)
-travelled to many nice places in Lithuania (Liškiava, Zarasai-Molėtai)
-started making brooches with fimo figures
-started twittering (not very proud though)
June
-had a little affair with Happeak (nice people)
-participated in another fair in Niūronys
-did a shoot with Agnė
-finished school year and spent last days at Panevėžys Secondary School #5
-participated in Art of Living course
-around this time discovered some of my fav bands - Mot and Nastyona
July
-new glasses!
-was featured by laimikis.lt
-participated in Burbuliatorius for the first time
-had the most amazing month at the seaside, first time after two summers spent at camp
-hitch-hiked for the first time in my life and had a hilarious hike with her yoga group. Still remember everything with huge smile.
August
-opened Etsy shop (finally!)
-participated and partly organised Burbuliatorius in Panevėžys
-did the "Peacock" photoshoot, first time professional make-up, hair + my concept,styling, everything. Very, very important shoot for me
-made my portfolio (took a while to select pictures) and flickr (not using it that much) sites
-brother got his driving license
-helped organising Burbuliatorius again. Wonderful as always
-more trips in Lithuania
-got interviewed by Sharona in her blog
-finished up everything before moving to Italy
September
-participated in "Blyksniai" exhibition in Panevėžys
-new life in Italy (tried to make it sound simple...)
-visited Venice
-went to the mountains for the first time in my life
October
-turned 18
-went to Florence (it was hell amazing and I have no idea why I haven't posted any pictures yet)
-did a shoot with Eduarda and Allisha (first time working in studio!)
-went to Padova
-watched "Koizora" with friends in college and got one friend into Miura Haruma (muhaha)
November
-went to Rome
-went to Ravenna
-photographs were exhibited in "Babyland" exhibition in Litexpo
-won some kind of contest organised by panele.lt (writing this only because yesterday got some accessories from ibero, haha)
-did a shoot with Ayelen
-started collaboration with Ameli Boutique (I sincerely LOVE that place)
-had National week in UWCAd with hours of rehearsing and millions of arguments
December
-listened to amazing speaker talk about his experience (Curtis Edward McCarty)
-finished the term (hell yeah)
-went to Barcelona (yes yes yes, I must post the pictures) for the street performance
-went home!
-created facebook fanpage (I really don't like the word "fan" as I don't consider myself good enough to have them, but what can I do about it)
-Sue was born
-finally finished creating ModelMayhem account. Visit me there.

moreover many, many new photos, accessories, friends, experiences, works published and so on. Thanks to everybody who were with me this year, sorry for all past and future fails and...see you in 2010!

Barcelona was amazing, I'm gonna share the pictures and stories a bit later. It's been 4 days since I'm home, it's so overwhelming...all the people, school, also all the art stuff I can do now since I have all my supplies. I'm mostly running around not knowing what to start with. My brother came back only today and we went for a walk with him and my dad because the weather is just fantastic. It's great to be home, though I already miss my UWC friends. Home is home. I feel cozy, warm and...myself.

Off to Barcelona

Okay, almost off.
I'm leaving tomorrow, will stay there till 19th December. Everybody's leaving and it's so weird. I know I'm gonna see them in a month, some of them even earlier, but it's somehow sad and it feels like if I'm leaving home. Yeah, I guess we're already attached to this place. Last week was amazing, so Christmas'y, everybody was in a good mood, school was more or less fun (except for e systems lab report that took me ages). Next week - street performance and then, OMG, I'm gonna be home.

letters, stories, pictures

letters. I've been looking through my pictures from home (yes, I have a separate folder titled "Photo Italy" meaning that pictures from other folders are already emotionally old for me) and found this pic of the letter I sent to my lovely Finnish friend. It was really cool making it and, as far as I know, she liked it as well. So yeah, why not to make something like that for your friends as Christmas present? I'd love to get smth like that, btw:>

stories. On Wednesday we had a speaker for our INA thingy (basically we have people coming to college and talking about various issues. Some recent ones were pretty...don't wanna say boring, but there's no other word) and this time the person was Curtis Edward McCarty and the topic was "A voice against death penalty". Seriously, I've never heard such silence in college. People were listening. And it was worth listening. Afterwards it was so hard to concentrate and I was so grateful to my English teacher for taking us to porto and talking about the lecture sitting in the sunshine. Um, I don't want to say what I think about dealth penalty and so on...but it just opened my eyes in a way that sometimes things that seem to be so cliche and maybe not THAT important for you as you're practically not involved can be touching and changing your point of view.

pictures. I'm browsing lookbook again. It's so tempting. I can't resist. I hell yeah I wanna take some pictures but a) school b) it gets dark so early c) street performance is coming and we have to prepare d) never find time that would be good both for me and models. See, how many excuses I can make...? And afterall I'm so jealous looking at those nice pictures.

I feel Christmas mood and thesedays were amazing. It's only one week till Barcelona and two weeks till I go home. <3

I guess I haven't been talking that much today:)

I can't believe it's December already.

And btw, my co-year from Japan, Shoya, is coming to Lithuania during Winter break. It's gonna be sooooo much fun. Any suggestions of the places I should take him to?
