Flowers?

I'm not really a fan of pictures of flowers since I think it's lame. Ok, let me be lame this time, because I've missed Lithuanian nature so much so I let myself post these photos from our trip to Kupiškis (my grandparents' place). Even the smell is very different from Italy, also my eyes are still adjusting to the greenness of the surroundings. God, I got so used to limestone over this year. Anyways, loved the trip, saw my grandparents, enjoyed singing and dancing in the car with my parents listening to MJ and relaxed. My ex-classmates have their first exam tomorrow, good luck everybody.

Me posing with village girl outfit (cap - my grandpa was taking care of me so that I wouldn't get sunstroke and the coat was the one my mum brought me from an old wardrobe when I mentioned that it's a bit cold. I also took some other old, hm, sorry, I mean vintage shoes from there and renewed them a bit, I'll show you later). Then the right picture is me with my dad's military jacket. 3 stars, cool :)

homeland rainland

a little teaser of the photoshoot I did with Anh the other day.

Lithuania met me with rain. I'm home. The trip yesterday was pretty ok, even though it was super hot in Italy, we (my Latvian co-year Nora and I) managed to go through walk-bus-walk-train-bus-plane-car trip very well. The flight was very nice as well. My ears always suffer while landing, but anyways, I think I can hear properly now.

I might have mentioned before, but I left before the closing ceremony - maybe good, maybe bad. Got less time to cry but missed the last nice moments with my 2nd years. Oh, and so many of them came to the bus stop to say bye to me in the morning, thank you so much! I think I don't realise yet that it's over, blah, it's such a different world here.

Last days in Italy were very nice. Apart from stressful packing (had 17kg at the end when the limit is 20kg, shouldn't have worried) I had fun watching movies with Stapor and others, went on a boat and swam in open sea for the first time in my life (pictures coming soon), did quite a lot of photography and enjoyed the final IB show. Now I just woke up and do not understand why my computer instead of putting one hour forward the time just did the opposite - I'm sure I couldn't have woken up at 6.30 am without an alarm clock. Oh well, I guess not only humans but electronical devices get confused and puzzled sometimes:)

My fingers are itchy seeing all those supplies I can dig in even now and make new things! Haven't done it for AGES. So excited to start :)

5 days left

roses bloom here in Duino and I'm going home in 5 days. Exams are finished, I got my results already and started packing a bit. Don't wanna go back to the room to see the mess I made.

The mood of the college is still okay. Not too happy, but people haven't started crying yet. Tomorrow second years finish their exams - we'll all go swimming in the sea, probably shouting like crazy and without bothering to change into swimming clothes.

I'm gonna leave pretty early, probably won't be able to attend the closing ceremony on Tuesday. Well, I guess it's even better - less crying. Hm. Oh well, gotta go back to pack.

P.S. Just to make it clear - no, I'm not graduating yet, I still have one more year of IB in the college. It's just the end of the first year and 2nd years will be leaving for universities.

Croatia

More pictures from Croatia, this time, full view of the cities of Rovinj and Motovun. Places definitely worth visiting - especially during non-touristic season because it's amazing to see that people can live their ordinary lives in those little fairy-tale-like houses, drive super small old cars and motorbikes and dry their clothes in the labyrinths of ropes just above your head.

Pieces of Croatia.

Ieva calling from the exam land. 3 done, 4 more to go. We don't have lessons anymore and it's a very weird studying, procrastinating and/or sleeping period. And only 12 days left till I go home.

My summer plans finally are in the state of "confirmed". At least the biggest bit.

Posting some pictures of little details I found nice in Croatia - just before the big post with pictures of actual places. Just to get you excited:)

Its seems we'll have a storm here.

Foggy night in Višnjan

One foggy evening in Višnjan town (Croatia). The creepiest walk I've ever had.

Slovenia

I've been to Slovenia a few times already - once for the art festival in Maribor and then with my friends for one of the long weekends. It's a beautiful country, the nature is just amazing. However, I wasn't really impressed by Ljubljana that much (4th and 5th pics), maybe because wasn't in the mood. On the same weekend we also went to Kamnik, this little town not far from the capital where there is a place where you apparently can hear God. Well, we did not find that particular place, but the town of Kamnik (1st, 2nd, 3rd pics) is a very pleasant place to visit. It's really cozy and people were very nice to us. We happened to be there during Easter, so it was also nice to see traditions they have for this celebration. Maribor (last pic) has an amazing tea place in the city center and overall it's also a lovely place to see. And drop by Italy to see me if you happen to visit Slovenia, ok? :)

Sea sough

Model: Amika

Assistants: Tomas and Habib

Photography: Ieva Blaževičiūtė (me)

Incredibly fun photoshoot, sadly, I guess one of the last ones this year in Italy (exams coming). What I like about it, is that I managed (I hope) to use the surroundings pretty well. I usually focus on close-ups and end up not having the whole place shown to its best.

Duino cats

no, I did not use photoshop for colouring the eyes. This cat is always there when I go back from school in the atfernoon. A funny thing I realised here is that we call cats in different ways in different countries when we want them to come. Italian cats show no interest when I call them in Lithuanian way. Oh well.
