Squarrel!

squarrel keychain/phone strap. Made from leather, yarn, a bit of fur. Available at Ameli boutique, Respublikos 4, Panevėžys.

I'm going to my grandparents' place for a few days, need to change the environment before the epic marathon of work before leaving to Japan. Hopefully will do some schoolwork while at grandparents'. Meh, really need to start.

Life is good overall. I'll probably update you with what little joys I had over these weeks. It's so good to be home.

as the sun hides, I go

Playing with the light of the setting sun. Having brother as my victim.

Something totally unrelated - I registered in formspring, just to try what it is all about. So if anybody wants to ask me any questions (you can do it anonymously as well), visit me in my account~ - useless thing. Disabled my account.

if only wind was blue

Model: Brigita

Make-up:Agnietė

Photography: Ieva Blaževičiūtė (me)

a pretty short photoshoot we did on the weekend at my friend's place. Had so much fun trying to paddle back in the middle of the lake against the wind. I have very funny pictures of that but won't ruin the whole mood of the post. Love model's dreamy and sad eyes.

the moon glittering behind the house

Listening to Bloc Party 'Compliments', just felt like posting these. Some of them old, some of them new. I like the feeling of pictures taken by film camera, will probably be posting more of them. Brother in all.

home inside

t-shirt design for everyone travelling and unsure where their home is.

I had a great weekend (pictures later:P) and came back to find that my dad re-installed everything in my computer, starting from the operating system and photoshop, finishing with finally installed tablet software. Omg, retouching is LOVE now! Gotta explore CS5 more. So cold in Lithuania now by the way, totally freezing as for this time of the year imo.

Bubble the city #11

Another Bubble the city event organised by laimikis.lt. The weather was far from good but a lot of people came. Actually, I think this time the bubbles looked super pretty because of the wind. Thank God this time it didn't end up with a rain shower like last time. Other Bubble The City event posts: #10, #6, #5, #4 & facebook album.

Can't believe it's been two weeks since the last one already -.-

Happy Julia brooch

Another fimo flower brooch named Julia.

And another outfit with the brooch. Sadly now it's too cold to wear this, but hope it's gonna get warmer. My French co-year from college is coming to visit me tomorrow and us plus my friends are gonna go camping, so I won't be around for a few days. Hope to take some cool pics, taking my new borrowed film camera as well.

Gaudi inspired Vol.2 and dreams coming true

Available at my Etsy shop. The other Gaudi inspired necklace here.

I spent half of the day helping to reorganise the accessories in the shop, it seems it's easy, but then you get so tired trying to put every single thing (and there are hell loads of them!) in the right place and make them look good together. Meh, but it's nice in a way that your brain rests from useless thinking.

Today is exactly a month till I leave for Japan. And month and one day till I get there. My plan is getting settled, I'm gonna visit a friend in Yokohama, go down to Fujinomiya to visit my camp friends Yu (she's probably taking me to her school! Yay!) and Kaede, then one day trip to Shizuoka, rest in Toyohashi (my penpal's place), Kyoto for 3 days or so (couchsurfing ftw! I hope the guy who decided to host me won't change his mind. Everyone has exams at that time so it's not easy to get someone nice enough to be willing to help), Nara and Himeji castle, my dreamplace Naoshima, Tomonoura (maybe), Hiroshima for 3 days (staying at my teacher's friend's friend's place, haha) and then Tokyo, here I come (11 days!). Shoya, my co-year in college, is gonna host me there. We're trying to get some tickets to a few concerts and I think I'm also going to UWC camp somewhere near Tokyo. Uh, and probably gonna meet my another penpal - she lives in Tokyo. Apart from that I might organize some photoshoots while in Tokyo...not sure about that though. Oh well, so I guess my dream is coming true afterall. Ja-pan.

My recent inspirations and fun things: nirrimi photography (makes me feel useless and untalented), Yoskay Yamamoto (works well with my sense of colours and imagination. Delicious), Yoko Furusho (lovely illustrations and btw, realised that I can visit his show when I'm in Japan. vyyy), Benconservato (monsters!), Giacomo Brunelli photography (not a big fan of b&w pictures, but these are just different. A must to see), THXTHXTHX (just to remind yourself that life is beautiful. Also loved the note for Haruki Murakami - so true!), one of amazing Babelgum videos about artist Color me Katie (worth checking all the videos. Random nice stuff).

Fairy-tale tree brooch

Fairy-tale tree brooch. Available at my Etsy shop.

And the outfit I thought would fit with the brooch. Love those orange leather shoes I found in grandma's wardrobe.

don't think. just have fun.

...and that's what a bunch of teenagers did in Vilnelė river in Sereikiškių park yesterday in Vilnius. And that was basically the only good thing of the whole day for me. Have fun and maybe you'll make someone's day, huh?

Both meetings I thought I'm going to have didn't happen because nice people just do not care to inform me that they, for whatever reason that was, can't come. Anyways, I wouldn't mind, but I twisted my ankle the day before and so yesterday I couldn't walk - ok, I could, because I did, but in pain. Meh, the heat didn't help either. Going to more optimistic things - Vilnius is still beautiful and I still want to live there at least for a while. Literatų street is awesome, we went to this Oldtown store (Senamiesčio krautuvė) with healthy local food and lovely shop assistant who was so helpful and tried to relieve my pain with fresh apple juice, then after a sunny though a very slow (because of me) walk in the old town we went to the park. So cool to see people doing random things - swimming with clothes (as you can see in pictures), we saw a bunch of guys with drealocks drummin', then (!!!) two guys juggling. I was too shy to go to them, because my skills, compared to them, are just...below zero, but it got me inspired to buy poi because I practised in Italy with my friend's one and wanna learn more tricks now. The shop was closed already, but I'll definitely get them later.
