The last post before I leave

no, this time I'm not leaving for another country...yet I won't be online for at least two or more weeks. Going to the seaside to enjoy my days listening to the waves...mmm...can't wait. But before that there is this street market in Klaipėda that I was preparing for this whole time. So, please come to the Danė square in Klaipėda and meet me there! Nuo penktadienio iki sekmadienio prekiausiu Danės skvere, ateikit pasilabinti;)
Ok, so first of all I'm going to Klaipėda, then leaving for Palanga and then going to Nida. Right after that I'm probably going to Vilnius. I have updated my list of travels on the right. I won't have any internet connection for this whole time, so please text me if there's anything urgent. Jei kas būsit Palangoje ar Nidoje ir norėsit susitikti ar turit kokių minčių dėl projektų/fotosesijų, parašykit sms arba paskambinkit. Interneto neturėsiu:)
I'm very glad I'm going to the seaside. I am very tired. Seriously. Last days were basically my mother and I running around with endless lists of things to do...not only I had to prepare everything for the fair, also to do everything before I leave to the wireless-less land and finish up all the little things I wanted to do. I haven't started packing, btw, at it's almost 10 pm whereas we're leaving tomorrow at around 7 am. But oh well, I'm used to packing now. I got some books from the library today, so gonna be spending my time reading and learning my beloved Japanese and Korean languages. I am gonna learn Hangul for sure this time. It's already very necessary, since I have so many Korean artists on my ipod and each time cannot find the right one, because I cannot read their names. Haha. Lame reason, huh.
In process of making little tags for each item.
Also little bags for the things.
And these last days were very nice...I have finally started enjoying long summer evenings in my room, working and listening to music, with my cat around. I'm gonna miss him. Take care everyone and see you in a couple of weeks.

Autumn necklace

a very unusual necklace I made a few weeks ago from little pieces of fabric. I might be making more things in this style, but there are still some stuff to figure out, since it is hard to work with such light pieces of fabric. I'll definitely try, because it looks very feminine and fancy... By the way the colours in reality are much brighter, photobucket eats the saturation somehow. Let me know what you think about this;) I've been receiving very nice comments recently, thank you very much! It's very touching to hear that people like the things I do and especially that my blog makes people want to do some art as well. Sweet! I'd be very happy also to see what you guys are making, so don't hesitate to drop me a line anytime.
I visited my old school today with my classmate. Had a great time, but it's so weird to come back and remember all those years spent in that building. Time really flies. But it's nice to realise that with some people you can pick up where you left months or years ago. I used to believe in communication via internet, but I think I'm giving up recently. Of course, it's better than nothing. But it's not even 1% of what you get when you meet a person in real life. I have chosen a path that is mostly about leaving the people once you get closer to them (camp, home, college), but after some struggling I think I got used to it and manage to live where I am, not where I might want to be sometimes. My friend has asked me whether I'm happy. I'm always very confused when it comes to these questions because they seem to be too...too complicated to be answered on the spot. But at this very moment I'm happy. Happy where I am, happy where I am about to be. And I guess I'll end this random and unplanned flow of thoughts here. I'm getting confused myself ...Goodnight!:)

Changes!

Well hello hello, I'm writing to introduce some changes I made recently. First of all, I have renewed my portfolio with new works and a new design, please visit me at jyudeidei.com! I'm still in process with all the changes, so please do let me know if you think something should be changed! The same goes with my blog - I have slowly been changing things. You have probably noticed that the pages section has appeared and also the 'must visit' section went to the inspirations' page. I've put a picture of myself with a little explanation just to clarify that yes, all the accessories I post here are made by me...some people have been a little bit confused about this, hihi. I might be slowly moving to a new design for the blog too, but haven't decided what I want yet... I have also updated and cleaned my flickr and deviantArt accounts, the facebook page is also updated and renewed. Even though I haven't been so active in my tumblr either, I have things to post and it has a new design if you haven't seen yet!
In short, visit me in these pages and let me know what you think about the changes:

Saturday

Saturday spent helping my grandma in the garden. My brother came back for the weekend, so I took a picture of him with berries, just like a year ago. Like this one way more :) And finally the weather is bearable, a bit cooler than before. I have a feeling that there's so much to catch up with, but I somehow cannot make myself to get all the ends together. Maybe later. And poor Norway, I really hope nothing more will happer there. Take care, everyone.

Paper crafts

It all started when my mum asked me to draw a wedding card and I made these two birds using origami paper, my own drawings and pieces of random paper glued together. Since people have been asking for nice cards for various occasions at the shop, I made a few more for children and probably couples. A new invention for me was the usage of the Japanese style paper washi. I have always liked it so much but never knew how to use it so that both the texture and the feel of it would be visible... And then I realised that it looks very nice when little pieces of it are torn out and glued on a different piece of paper. It's a very delicate work, but you can also make layers and combine colours, I really love it.

A close-up of the pieces of washi glued together.

And I also cut out the tiger I've shown you before and made a little picture with it. I'll see what other ideas I'll have for it.

All the cards now available at Ameli Boutique, Respublikos 4, Panevėžys, Lithuania.

DIY - the batman shirt

another diy post about my adventures while trying to make some new original things from the old clothes that I was supposed to throw out. I saw a picture in someone's blog with this batman/bat shaped ring and immediately got an idea of drawing a bit modified version of the batman logo. Changed the colours, the shape a bit, also left this cross in the middle and added some metal details. The neck line is cut a bit and then I made some stiches in the bottom of the shirt not to have it too plain. In the picture above you can also see blue fimo cross ring, pink spiky hair band and another ring that is yet to be presented.

The very beginning, plain and simple shirt. I was suprised about the fact that I actually first drew the shape I wanted to draw on the shirt on a separate peace of paper. Usually, I hate making sketches or preparing things in advance, I do everything on the spot. Character change, huh? But it's way easier, since it was a symetrical shape.

My lovely textile paint. It took a while to get the colours fade nicely.

And the result again. Not sure what I am going to wear it with...I imagine a black leather jacket over the shirt, but I don't have one (yet). We'll see:)

Happy moose brooch

Happy moose brooch - one of my favourite ones, since it's hard to make something that has fimo, bright colours and doesn't look too childish. Let me know if you think this moose should be yours. And yay, we got our permissions to be selling accessories during the Sea Festival in Klaipėda. Susitiksim Jūros šventės mugėje;) Aah, I was k-drama-ing yesterday again, time to catch up with work a bit. But hell, how I love 정용화's voice! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ ^^
