Funky squirrel brooch

Funky squirrel brooch. Leather, fimo clay, fabric, beads. Already sold though. I'll try to make more brooches in this style later, people seem to like them a lot.
Just to remind you, my works are always available in Ameli Boutique in Panevėžys, yet you can also drop me a line in case you like something. If I have time, I also take commissions, so don't hesitate to write me if you have an idea about a thing you'd like to have. I usually don't bite.
I don't know what happened to me, but today my head is completely calm and empty. Empty in a good way. I've just realised that I haven't had this feeling for years. So refreshing, so relaxing, huh, such a good feeling. I should really find out what was the reason for this change, maybe my list of things to do has become shorter or...boh, no clue, but feels good. I wonder why is my head full of trash all the time though, haha.

Silence

A few experimental pictures I took of Deimantė during our photoshoot (pictures coming later). Originally I wanted to do a whole bunch of photos in this style, but oh well, the burning sun has ruined all my plans. But I like these two simple ones. Did two photoshoots in the past two days, along with all the other little things... It's funny, how right after the shoot when I load the pictures and look at them, usually I dislike every single image. Then the next day it all looks different, looks better. Never realised why is that so.
I learn so many things with each photoshoot. And it seems that there is still so much to learn. That's one of the things I love/hate about photography.
I really hope I will finally be able to sleep like a normal human being this night.

Circles and ribbons

since yesterday the planned photoshoot was postponed, I'm posting one I did quite a while ago.
Model: Tereza
Photography: Ieva Blaževičiūtė (me)
Trieste, Italy
2011
It took me so long to make myself edit these pictures...there were so many movement pictures, everytime I had some time to edit, I was like nooooo, I'm never gonna finish this...But I managed when I was at the seaside and the pictures came out pretty cool, so I'm happy. Probably should select less photographs than I'm posting now, but there were many different locations, so that's why I'm making you bored with more than 10 images from one shoot *crappy photographer mode*
I don't like Trieste much, but it does look very nice in pictures...it looks warm, which is what I miss when I walk in the streets of Trieste.
Sunday today, I'll try to finish writing up my CV which I've started yesterday and thought that it will be a total mess, but it's actually coming out smootly:) When you put all the things you've done in the past together, it doesn't seem that you're useless anymore, a good way to motivate oneself. Heading to the other part of the city to visit my grandma and hopefully finish shooting for the next stopmotion (hihi) later...I really have to get everything done before I go to London...*remembers about portfolios and the whole to-do list* aaah, so much to do. Yet! Eurobasket is starting soon and I've found a lot of inspiring things recently, this will keep me going. Inspirations post coming up soon I guess ;)
And let me know what you think about the pictures! I've been experimenting a bit with my photography recently, all feedback is always very welcomed!

Toma

a few pictures I took of this little girl Toma when I was at the seaside. Pure Lithuanian looks and amazing eyes. I really liked how her features look different in each of the pictures.

Also, I wanted to thank everyone for such an awesome feedback because of the pictures from 'Now Japan'! It's been so long since I've received so many and such nice comments from everyone. My pictures are up in Now Japan website here, also Yukari's facebook page here, Karolina's deviantArt page here...and probably many places I don't know about yet. Anyway, thank you so much for all the support, I really got inspired to work even harder on my photography!

Blue cross pendant

coming back with more of my usual stuff. A blue fimo cross and purple rose pendant, the first one of the two crosses I made, continuing my recent obsession with a bit spooky fimo jewellery (e.g. blue fimo cross ring or pink spiky hair band). Hope you like it. And even though a lot of the things I am still going to post were sold during the time I was away, this one is still available, so drop me a line if interested. I guess Lithuanians get a bit scared by the cross image, but then I make my jewellery to be visible and different. And hey, in the last image I'm wearing my first and only piece of flower patterned clothing! Haha, way to go, Ieva.
I am now a bit lost trying to get all the ends together, but I guess it has always been like that. The good thing is that I am making accessories again (got very tired of it last month, but now it's better) and I have my flights booked for my first visit to London. Hopefully I'll finally get a place to live and oficially become a student which means no more document mess. Keeping fingers crossed!
U, and don't forget my facebook page! I've been trying to make it more lively, so please visit!

Now Japan'11

A very picture-heavy post about the Japanese culture and art fest "Now Japan" that took place in Vilnius (Lithuania) this last weekend. I don't watch anime and don't read manga at all, so it all was completely new to me. And all I can say that I was just amazed by all the costumes and all the effort that people have put into making the clothes and the performances. The atmosphere in the whole event was very warm and one could really feel that everyone who came actually wanted to be there. I met quite a few friends of mine, most of them working or doing workshops, so it was fun. Let's take a look at the place and the costumes.
Half of the judges for the best costume (etc.etc.etc.) contests.
The only costume (except for the Harry Potter series) that I knew, because Zemotion is so obsessed with it and I am so obsessed with her photography. Hello Gundam. An amazing costume. He had to be helped to get on the stage though, haha.
This girl looked amazing and her costume reminded me of the Venice Carnival so much.
A very awesome Japanese flute playe Gediminas. I managed to talk to him aftewards for quite a bit, he's really wise...answered me a lot of important 'life' questions.
My personal favourites - the two ninjas that helped out EVERYWHERE. I was given a ninja hug as you can see from the next picture. Haha. LOVE :)
Amazing drawings by Agnė (here)
Noru-chan was helping people to dress in yukatas. Aah, so glad I got a chance to talk to her after so long! <3
Poor Teppei was so popular, I hope he didn't die from exhaustion after the event.
My absolute favourite dolls. I was absorbing the beauty for so long. How can one make those things? I'd love to do a photoshoot with such dolls someday.
Here's some video material from the event and my facebook album for more pictures. If you recognise yourself in some of the pictures and want to have them, drop me a line at ieva.souchi@gmail.com. I'd just like to thank the organisers for the effort and also for inviting me to take part too. I even got the 'media' tag, haha, how cool is that.
I have so many things to do know and still have to recover after the eventful weekend as this one was. Last days were either no sleep or no food, I kind of feel like I need both now. But I managed to meet my brother, my aunt and other relatives, as well as quite a few friends, Noru-chan and Seva. The time management was a bit messed up but I even managed to catch the last bus home on Sunday evening, only with the help of my brother's extreme driving skills. Tanoshikatta!
