Nida

might be going to see the sea on the weekend. I've just realised, how much I miss it. Pictures from Nida, Lithuania., taken during that month when I was sorting myself out.

Bantik bantik

I am stealing the title of this post from this person who makes (I hope she still does!) very nice bows.
I made this very randomly a few weeks ago in like 5-10 mins just because I saw a piece of that blue ribbon and immediately decided that I need something of that colour in my accessory box. Honestly, I am bad at making these kind of things since I never get the proportions right, the same thing happened with this bow, but anyway:) I also used this decorated ribbons that I took from an old-fashioned vest.
It seems that a simple bow is a thing that wouldn't really be anything cool or unique, but I was actually surprised of how many ways one can wear it! You can put it on any bag or any dress, if it's smaller you can also wear it in your hair, etc. And it literally takes like 5 minutes to make. And those 10 minutes would be really well spent. I am thinking of getting a nice backpack for my photography equipment, probably will decorate it with something of this kind.

The beginning in London

I have moved to London a few days ago, finally for good. It's only the very very beginning of everything and things change every single day, so I'm not gonna write anything specific about my life here -  all of it might change just the very next day, so why making people confused.
I wanted, though, to let everyone know that I'm doing just fine, the weather is amazing and I'm slowly getting used to the things here. I haven't started my classes at the university yet, but there are other things that have to be taken care of, so I have a few things to do until next week, when I have my first lectures.
I went around with a friend a bit yesterday, London is pretty. We managed to meet a random guy who said that his mother was a Chinese princess and gave me a space pen. Gotta love random people, they always like me.

I've been looking for a portfolio book for my photographs, but since I have them both landscape and portrait, no luck :( The China town was very pretty though, I guess they had the lanterns up because of the Mid-Autumn festival not long ago.

I really love autumn and I enjoyed seeing it in Lithuania right before I left. It's my favourite season, probably because I was born in autumn...anyway, it's very pretty here too. I live now pretty much in the suburbs of London, it's like living a village. Very nice. I took some pictures when taking my host's dog for a walk this morning. At home I had a cat, now I have a dog. How weird is that.

This is Mango.

I have been getting so many nice messages from my friends recently, it's really good to know that no matter where I am and where they are, we still are there for each other. Makes life much happier :)

Seas and deserts

Model: Deimantė (pictures of her from the same day also here and here)
Photography, make-up (relatively) and styling: Ieva Blaževičiūtė (me)
The flowers from the fabric made by Rasa Blaževičienė (my mum)
Lithuania, 2011

This photoshoot was a lot of fun. We got up pretty early to avoid the burning sun, but in the end I was still struggling not to get the model's face over-exposed. Always the same when shooting outside in the sun. I really like the sea and sand background, something I've never had in my pictures before. Also, the dress I got from UT (Natali Silhouette) for myself happened to be super awesome in terms of different shapes and poses we could do. I remember the looks of the people seeing us walking with boxes, dresses and the model with a heavy make-up along the shore at like 9 a.m., as if we were walking home from a loooong night partying, haha. Let me know what you think about the pictures~ It's also the last photoshoot of this summer/fall in Lithuania. Time flies.

P.S. Is it just me, or does the model look like Zhang Jingna in the first photograph? *confused*

Orange accessory set

A ring and a bracelet I made in the beginning of the summer - an orange set. I really like the bracelet myself, but since I have a few of that type already and I tend to wear super long sleeves anyway, decided to give it away. Well, to be honest, recently I go out not wearing any accessories at all. Though one doesn't really need to overdo the looks when going to see grandma or get a new passport done.
Both items are available at Ameli boutique! You can also always drop me a line if interested and don't have the possibility to go to the shop.

I really like the autumn this year, maybe because it's the first time after 2 years in Italy when I am actually able to see the real autumn myself. And it's probably my favourite season, so I'm happy to finally be here when the leaves are turning yellow and red. I assume everyone likes the season they're born in.
It's weird now to see that my hair has grown so much since the beginning of the summer o.o
I also made a few changes here, firstly the new little navigation on the right and then I sorted out the tags. Tumblr updated too! Uh, and a new Miyavi's colab with Kreva, they seem to like this type of filming so much in Asia recently (Shinee's 'Lucifer', 'Hello', etc.).
The weather's so good, going for a walk maybe...? I don't remember the last time I went somewhere without a long list of things I have to do /nolife/.
